Between the blue of the Mediterranean, the mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana and the fa\u00e7ades lining the seafront promenade, this corner of north-west Mallorca retains a very distinctive character: that of an old fishing harbour that still lives facing the sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The view of our terrace at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/sesoliveresportdesoller.com\/\">Ses Oliveres<\/a><\/strong> perfectly captures this way of enjoying the port. Shade, Mediterranean vegetation, bougainvillea spilling over the promenade and tables waiting for those who decide to stop after a morning at the beach or a stroll by the water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A natural harbour between the sea and the mountains<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Port de S\u00f3ller lies approximately <strong>four kilometres from the town of S\u00f3ller<\/strong> and occupies a large natural bay surrounded by the mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana. For centuries, its location made it an important refuge for fishermen and a vital maritime connection for the valley. The first electric line between S\u00f3ller and its port opened in 1913 and covers around 4.8 kilometres through orchards, gardens and the valley before reaching the sea.
