A lunch or dinner for two can become an unforgettable experience when the location, the atmosphere… and of course, the food are just right. At Ses Oliveres Port de Sóller, we suggest a menu designed for sharing, enjoying at a relaxed pace, and savoring the essence of the Mediterranean. With the sea in front of you, under the golden afternoon light or with the sound of waves in the background, this menu becomes the perfect plan for two.
To share: tapas with Mallorcan identity
The best way to begin is always with something to share in the centre of the table. To awaken the appetite, we suggest three options that combine tradition, local products, and careful preparation.
The homemade croquettes of the day are always a safe bet: creamy, flavorful, and freshly made. They vary depending on the day and always surprise. Next, the Sóller red prawn carpaccio adds a fresh, elegant touch full of local flavor — perfect for those seeking something different. Lastly, a plate of crispy fried anchovies completes the sharing starters with a crunchy bite that invites repetition.
These dishes pair wonderfully with a glass of Mallorcan white wine or a good artisanal vermouth, ideal for guests who want to enjoy the moment without rushing.
And of course, don’t forget our freshly baked bread with olives.
Main courses: one each… or a rice to share
If the couple wants to enjoy different flavors, a perfect combination would be the sea and mountain-style octopus and the slow-cooked veal cheek. The octopus, with its tender texture and a preparation that fuses land and sea, is one of the most popular dishes at the restaurant. The veal cheek is meltingly tender and deeply flavorful — ideal for meat lovers with character.
Another option is to share a rice dish, such as the creamy rice with Sóller prawns and cuttlefish, full of marine flavor and perfectly creamy. This dish requires a minimum of two people, but if both agree, it’s well worth it.
A sweet ending: dessert is better shared
To end the evening, nothing beats a homemade dessert. If available, the Mallorcan almond cake (gató) with ice cream is a very special choice: made with Mallorcan almonds, it is paired beautifully with the freshness of the ice cream. If not, you can always ask for the chef’s daily dessert suggestions, which usually include cheesecake, chocolate fondant or options made with Sóller citrus fruits.
To accompany the dessert, a traditional Mallorcan liqueur or a rich espresso will bring the meal to a perfect close.
This menu not only nourishes the body, but also the soul. Perfect for couples who want to enjoy the sea, fine dining, and the charm of one of Mallorca’s most beautiful coastal corners.
